We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager supporting our Bradford Schools account.

This is a hybrid role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Join our vibrant, inclusive community, delivering projects across our schools portfolio. You’ll lead lifecycle, minor works and capital projects within live school environments, ranging from refurbishments and mechanical and electrical replacements through to larger construction projects such as school extensions and additional buildings.

It’s a varied opportunity where your work will have a visible impact. You’ll take projects from planning through to successful completion, balancing safety, quality, programme and budget while working closely with schools, contractors, local authorities and our facilities management teams.

What you will do

  • Lead projects from start to finish, planning, mobilising and delivering multiple projects across the schools estate.
  • Deliver safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes, ensuring projects meet contractual, statutory and operational requirements.
  • Take ownership of project budgets and programmes, managing costs, risks, resources and change while identifying opportunities for value and efficiency.
  • Lead contractors and supply-chain partners, overseeing performance, quality, health and safety requirements, inspections and project completion.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, working with school leadership teams, local authorities, PFI partners and internal teams while minimising disruption to school operations.
  • Provide effective project leadership, including management of a direct report and clear project reporting and governance.

What you will bring

Essential

  • Experience managing projects within facilities management, construction or PFI environments.
  • Strong project management capability across planning, delivery and close-out.
  • Commercial and financial management experience, with the ability to effectively manage cost, programme, risk and quality.
  • Proven contractor and stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • A full driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering works within live operational environments, particularly schools.
  • A degree or equivalent in Construction, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • A relevant project management or construction qualification, such as MCIOB.
  • SMSTS and Emergency First Aid at Work.
